On October 21st, 2024, the RISE Global proudly welcomed its first cohort of mentees during a successful onboarding session. This marks the beginning of an exciting 8-week journey where young professionals will gain valuable insights, mentorship, and guidance to further their personal and professional development.

- Program Overview:
Daizy, the RISE Founder, introduced the RISE team and outlined the mentorship program’s structure, expectations, and responsibilities. Mentees will embark on an 8-week mentorship journey focusing on setting goals, tracking progress, and growing through personalized mentor support. - Mentorship Philosophy:
Ibrahim, a RISE Board Member, shared the key elements of a successful mentorship relationship, emphasizing the importance of support, encouragement, and accountability. Mentorship, as explained, is a professional engagement, where mentees will learn from their mentors’ experiences while taking responsibility for their own development. - Personal Branding:
Caroline, Global Humanitarian Relief Director at UPS, delivered an inspiring presentation on the importance of personal branding. She highlighted how showing up consistently and authentically, both in personal and professional spaces, helps create a strong personal brand. Mentees were encouraged to invest time in building their personal image, guided by expert resources. - Goal Setting and Tracking:
Nicole introduced mentees to the SMART goals framework and SWOT analysis, tools designed to help them set clear, measurable objectives throughout the program. Mentees were advised to use these tools to drive their mentorship progress and enhance their personal branding, especially on platforms like LinkedIn. - Next Steps:
The onboarding session concluded with a prayer for the success of the mentees and the continued positive impact of the RISE Mentorship Program. Plans were also laid out for future joint sessions, including a LinkedIn profile revamp workshop to help mentees craft effective outreach strategies.
